Alesandra Tatić

 

Alesandra Tatić is a post-Yugoslav visual anthropologist and feminist advocate. She holds a PhD in social anthropology from the Ecole des hautes etudes en sciences sociales. She co-founded the Wild Pear Arts collective and has co-authored several acclaimed short documentaries. Their debut feature, FLOTACIJA (2023)  has won awards such as Best First Film at the Festival Jean Rouch, and has been acquired for TV broadcast by Al Jazeera Balkans and Radio Television Serbia. Alesandra's latest project is a feature documentary on the European Research Council funded FOODCIRCUITS project, focusing on food workers across seven countries. Her work has been funded by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the European Research Council, Clif Family Foundation, Film Center Serbia, Scam France, and the London Short Film Festival, and supported by IDFA Project Space and the Institute of Documentary Film. Since 2023, she has been a member of the Public Policy Research Centre, where she serves as an advisor on visual anthropology, labor, gender equality, and cultural policy.
