PULSE: Propelling EU Platform Directive Transposition into Serbia's Legal Ecosystem

 

Zoran Kalinić

Zoran Kalinić has been working with the Center since 2019 as a Researcher-Analyst. Zoran is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Kragujevac, Serbia, where he teaches E-Business, E-Commerce, and E-Government. Zoran’s areas of interest include information technology and systems and their application to society and business, e-business, e-commerce, and the uses of artificial intelligence technologies in business and management. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 papers in international and Serbian journals, and has participated in many international and Serbian scientific and professional projects. In the GigmetarTM Zoran is responsible for data processing, analysis, and data presentation.
 
From 1996 to 2005, Zoran was employed at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac, moving in 2005 to the University’s Faculty of Economics. He obtained his PhD in 2012 from the Faculty of Engineering. His thesis focused on the development of mobile information systems. He has taught as visiting lecturer at universities in Poland, Slovenia, Finland, Portugal, and elsewhere.

Svetlana Đurđević Lukić Fund: HUMAN SECURITY FOR THE NEW CENTURY

Uncertainty and vulnerability of the individual in the 21st century is the focus of CENTAR’s Human Security Programme. Building on foundations set by the recently departed co-founder and longtime director of CENTAR, Svetlana Đurđević Lukić, CENTAR regards security as a human right and advocates for construing a society in which every individual will have opportunities to reach their potential. Svetlana had a talent of pioneering the introduction of many topics – primarily concerned with the security of vulnerable groups – into security discourse within Serbia. Fostering this approach, starting from 2016, CENTAR, as part of its foundation named after the late Svetlana, holds a competition with the goal of inspiring young researchers to examine modern day threats.
